Middlebury Vermont was painted to capture this beautiful town in the fall with color and life. I was not really thinking about subjects the day I was driving north on Route 30. I suddenly noticed this scene through painters eyes for the first time. After stopping traffic several times to get my reference photo?s, I was quickly back at the studio at work.
It is always exciting to discover new beauty in familiar things. Jim Dine said; ?What we see depends mainly on what we look for.?
