Poultney Vermont depicts the Main Street view from my alma matter, Poultney High School, all the way down to the entrance of Green Mountain College. We lost four friends senior year and I painted a 8x24 foot long mural at the school in the memory of Nancy Mazur, Teresa Chesnut, Randy Brown, and Keith Thomas.
Time took it?s toll on the mural, and after 20 years it was beyond repair. I painted a new dedication work on a large panel in acrylic that now hangs in the PHS Library. That painting and project eventually inspired this watercolor.
