Season's Choice

Season?s Choice depicts the annual holiday tradition of picking out the perfect tree. Even the trees that are not so perfect have their appeal, and those are usually my choice.
In the painting, I used the complimentary colors red and green to help tell the story of Christmas in New England. Bundled up children and red cheeks. I can feel the rough old barn and smell of fresh balsam. I really enjoyed painting the horses, calm and happily doing their job. Each tree will find a new home and will have it?s own story to tell on Christmas morning.
