Woodstock Vermont was chartered in 1761 and developed rapidly after the civil war. Falls in the Ottauquechee River provided water power to the mills & craftsmen who produced woolens, furniture, carriages, saddles, trunks and leather. The Woodstock Railroad opened in 1875, carrying freight and tourists. The Woodstock Inn opened in 1892. A popular four season destination today, Woodstock is quintessential Vermont!
