And the Winners Are…
Each month I draw two random Day in Vermont subscribers to win a free print of their choice.
It’s one small way I can say thanks for your amazing support.
Our first winner for November is Ellen Kelton of Greenfield, Ma. Ellen chose “Saxtons River Vermont” and had this to say…
“I have enjoyed seeing all your paintings and seeing which ones were chosen by the winners. I was born in Ma. and have lived here all my life, but I have chosen Saxtons River, Vermont for my choice. It certainly was a tough decision considering your amazing work. My husband was born in Bellows Falls, and he grew up in Athens. He had family in Grafton, Cambridgeport and Saxtons River area. Some still remain. We have had property in northern Vermont for the last 28 years. Vermont holds a special place in my heart. Thank you again. I can’t wait to hang it in our home.”
Our second winner is Debra Gardner-Baasch of Wallingford, VT. Debra chose “Jetty Master”, and had this to say…
“Peter Huntoon’s mission to capture the beauty of Vermont one painting at a time continues to be a delight and an inspiration. After great deliberation, I chose “Jetty Master” because of the gorgeous colors, perfect serenity, and perseverance captured in this painting. Thank you, Peter, for sharing your artistry and for capturing the beauty of our amazing state.”
Surely is a distinctive Vermont lane/road; beautiful colors/shadow as well. Imagine it may be snow covered now. Your art brings back memories. Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving also. Cynthia
No snow yet Cynthia, but I’m looking forward to painting it soon. Thank you!

With gentle grace the roadway leads our eye down the hill, past the barn, and onward, as though we were taking a leisurely walk on a fine October day! Happy Thanksgiving, Peter.
Thanks Brian!
Such a clever name: Sun Dog Lane.
Wonder how named it, and who the sun dog is/or was.
Curious minds want to know.
Thank you, Peter, for bringing us something delightful to look forward to each Monday.
Good question Anne. I’m sure someone knows, but that someone isn’t me. Tx!
Oops, make that “who,” not “how” named Sun Dog Lane.
