Autumn Reflections Sep 30, 2013

The Maples are always eager to show their autumn colors.

The yellow-oranges appear at the outside edge and gently creep into the underlying greens.

Change is in the air. We can feel it now.

I enjoyed this cool overcast morning at Lake Shaftsbury on Friday.

“Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,

We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!”

    Hi Peter,
So nice to meet you at your booth in Main Street Park in Aug and be introduced to your beautiful art work. I’m back in Florida and even though it will be tough to miss Autumn in Vermont, I will look forward to seeing it through your artwork and the sharing of your gift! Gail

Hello Gail and thanks for the comment. We’ll miss you in Vermont and the October Art in the Park in a couple of weeks. The weather right now is amazing. Come February Florida will sound pretty good.

I love the fall painting. What makes it so special is how you describe what you are painting, how the leaves slowly change colors… Beautiful!

Thanks very much Deanie. A big part of being an artist (or poet) is that it requires time for reflection, insight, and considerable observation in the face of nature. Maybe that’s the best part.
