Church Garden Sep 2, 2013

This late summer garden in Clarendon stopped me in my tracks.

The colorful flowers sang like a gospel choir against the warmth of the old Brick Church.

And the winner is…

Congratulations to Kelly Giancola of Rutland Vermont, our September winner of a free print. Kelly chose “April’s Flowers“, and had this to say about Vermont:

“I have been thinking about Vermont and what living here means to me. The relationships we have here are not only between people, but are also evident in how we see our environment. That is what your paintings help us to do. I tell my children that wherever you are in Rutland, you can look around and see the mountains. From downtown, just look between the buildings and the church steeples and you can see a sunset or a storm approaching against the backdrop of the mountains. My hope is that my children will always take a moment to appreciate their surroundings whether they choose to live in Vermont or bring their new relationships back to visit this beautiful place.”

Wishing you a safe and happy Labor Day!

Warmest regards,

Peter
