Depot Hill Bridge Oct 3, 2013
Depot Hill Bridge is one of four covered bridges in Pittsford.
Before there was a bridge here a young traveler was trying to cross Otter Creek.
He yelled across to the farmer; “How do I get to the other side?”
The old Vermonter paused for a moment, then hollered back; “You are on the other side.”

Love the painting and the video, Peter.
Hi Mary and Peter, I’m so glad you are enjoying our adventure.
What a great video! Thanks for sharing! Each week I feel like I’m falling more in love with Vermont.
Thanks Sue, me too!!
Your paintings keep me inspired. The video was terrific, helped me get over missing your workshop this summer.
Thanks Carol, I do look forward to a workshop sometime. Stop by Open Studio this weekend and I’ll show you around.
Awesome! Best 7 minutes of my day & I had a good day to start with. 🙂
Thanks so much Nancy. We both can thank Jackson (again) for some great creative shots and editing.
Awesome! Made my day 🙂
Thanks Mary Beth!
Another wonderful painting, Peter. Every new painting is such a joy. Will be over to see you & Mareva for “Open Studio”. Another great opportunity to see amazing artists at work. I encourage everyone to visit!
We look forward to seeing you Mary Fran!
Really wonderful video and amazing painting. Love it. And it couldn’t have been a more perfect day with the soft color on the trees and the train whistling in the background… Thanks so much for sharing Peter!
It really is my pleasure to share this experience with you Sue. It’s like our own secret club.
It was wonderful to watch your painting come alive. Thank you for capturing the beauty of our Vermont – I have to forward this to my grandchildren!
Thanks Sandi, I appreciate your comments and support.
Loved the video – your painting is more beautiful then the actual landscape – love the colors you used – keep on painting!
Thank you Kate, glad you enjoyed the video. Each painting is a new opportunity to dance with color and shapes. I’ll keep on painting for sure!
Just delightful! We wanted to let you know that because of you we are taking a drawing class at the Community College in Rutland. Your tour of your studio with my friend, Arleen,so inspired me. Have a wonderful day. Muriel Brown
That is great Muriel. Art can enrich our lives in many ways. Beyond a certain age (for some reason) to pick up a pencil and start drawing takes a lot of courage. You will be rewarded for your efforts.
Great job Pete, has been amazing to watch you grow over these many years, looking forward to see where you go next
Thanks Larry for your comment, and your friendship over those many years. Since I didn’t have enough natural talent in ping pong I decided to pursue art instead. It all worked out!
Amazing painting and video this week. Thanks for sending the link, don’t know what happened to my e-mail. I appreciate the reference to Reno NV. Seeing the fall colors in the backround gave me my taste of Vermont in the fall. I needed that.
Thanks Brian, glad we connected. It’s pretty much peak in my neighborhood now. Wow.
I really enjoyed this – didn’t know there was a video until reading comments from my friends after I posted a comment on my timeline letting them know this is the bridge I have been running through for the past 15 years. Then I viewed the video and saw myself running past you and saying good morning.
Ha, that is great! It’s a small, wonderful world. Thanks Ron, and hope to see you again out there both doing our thing.
BTW, my wife wants you to know that we have a number of your pictures hanging on our condo walls, as well as friends of our’s.
Thanks for all your support Ron, much appreciated!
