Lily Pond Aug 8, 2013

While bigger lakes get all the glory, the quiet lily pond has an appeal all its own.

Happy in its soggy home the amazing ecosystem teems with aquatic life.

The Lilies create a magic carpet of floating color to soak up the summer sun.

Art in the Park this weekend!

If you are in the area this weekend please visit Art in the Park in Rutland, Vermont. As always, there will be a great variety of art, food, music, and fun. This is the 52nd annual Art in the Park festival presented by the Chaffee Art Center. Right now the weather looks fantastic. I’ll be in booth #77 on the Court Street side this year.  I’ll likely be painting something for Monday’s “Day in Vermont” post. Stop by and say hello! For more information click here.

    Peter,

I was wondering – have you ever thought of turning your paintings into high-quality digital art to use as desktop wallpaper? I know a couple of graphic artists that do this kind of thing (http://digitalblasphemy.com/dbhome.shtml) and charge for full access to the digital artwork.

Your work is beautiful and would make a nice addition to someone’s computer. Just a thought.

Hello Mike, and thanks for the comment! I will look into the desktop wallpaper idea. Hope to see you real soon.

Hi Peter – will certainly miss you this weekend! This is one of my favorite events. I believe I’ve purchased a painting from you at this event in the past:) I wish you much success! See you soon.

Hi Michelle, Yes, you have purchased at least one of your Huntoon originals at Art in the Park. Sorry you won’t make it but I am sure the weather is going to be nice in TL this weekend too. Thanks as always!
