Brrr. I can feel the chill from Lake Champlain. Great picture capturing the flying geese!

    • Peter Huntoon says:

An artist appreciates contrast… It’s the damp cold that makes us appreciate the cozy warmth when it comes. Thanks David!

  • Muriel Brown says:

Once again you have displayed the beauty of these graceful birds. We can hear the honking as they fly overhead beginning their yearly trip to a warmer abode. Dan and I also want to say what a delight to see your newest work at the Chaffee, Saturday evening. Mareva’s work added a new dimension of art which challenged my own creative mind to a different way of expressing my feelings. Thanks again to you both!

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Peter. This painting brings back a lot of memories
of my duck and goose hunting days. Those gray
November skies. Great job. As always.

Peter, I love your paintings. The subjects you choose. I remember a beautiful wedding cruise on Lake Champlain, thank you for bringing memories of VT back.

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Sometimes the subjects choose me…but no matter how it happens I’m sure glad I can share the experience and final paintings with you. Thanks Mechthilde!

Peter do you still deer hunt? going out Nov 15th hope to bag a Buck. i love the sign of the geese in the fall……. you know why they fly like that dont you?……..because they can….. ha ha .Take good care ol friend your ARTwork is awsome. rickster.

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Hi Rick, good luck out there! While I don’t hunt with a gun anymore, I am always on the hunt for new subjects. The two endeavors are not so different. Most similar I think, we both savor the moments “heightened awareness” that comes from intimate observation, sitting still in the throes of nature. In our daily lives of distraction and commotion, this opportunity is indeed welcome and good for the soul. The biggest difference, in my case, is that now…I usually come home with something to show for the trip.
