On nice days I often take a break from painting to soak in some sun outside the studio.
Relaxing in my lawn chair recently, I noticed how much the birch trees enjoy it too.
They seemed to be dancing down the hillside like a chorus line in rhythmic syncopation.
Once an idea like that appears, a painting isn’t far behind.

And The Winners Are…
As you may know, I draw two random “A Day in Vermont” email subscribers each month to win a free print of the their choice.
It’s one small way I can say thanks for your amazing support.
Our first winner for November is Karen Terry of White River Junction, VT. Kristen chose “Windsor Vermont”, and had this to say…
“Have always loved your work and wondered which I would choose, should I ever have the opportunity to do so. I finally decided on the Windsor Vermont scene as that is the place that holds the most memories for me as I lived there the first 22 years of my life. My parents, in-laws and life long friends have called this town home for their entire lives!”
Our second winner is Janine Levesque of Middlebury, VT. Janine chose “Brighton View”, and had this to say…
“Vermont has been my home for my entire life and it is truly a special place. The beautiful mountains and lakes, the hard working people that live here and the sense of community are some of the things I love most about our state. I selected “Brighton View” because it perfectly captures Vermont and its breathtaking beauty! I love how the view is from across Island Pond Lake. It really draws the viewer in and creates a great sense of peacefulness. I am a big fan of “A Day in Vermont” and am thrilled to win this print. Thank you so much!”
