A Walk in Woodstock

Auction Closed. Sold via Buy Now. Next Auction Monday, Sept 9.

As I continue to grow as an artist I’ve learned to recognize inspiration when it comes.

The moment it arrives something wonderful happens. A powerful unseen force propels me forward.

Trivial concerns suddenly evaporate.

I become a willing servant to the unfolding creative process.

On a mission to honor a beautiful human experience with simple strokes of paint.

If somehow I succeed, I get to share it with you.

Such was the case on this rainy day walk in Woodstock, Vermont.

Gratitude

As you know, there are so many potential distractions in our world today.

TV, Social Media, News, Internet. It’s available 24/7, even at the gas pump.

Fortunately, we can make good choices about what we consume.

I want you to know how much I appreciate your continued support.

Thank you so much for choosing to make time for “A Day in Vermont”!

One media choice I consistently make is Vermont Magazine.

I’m honored and humbled to be featured in the new Fall 2019 Edition.

Thank you Vermont Magazine!

I taught in Woodstock during the early ’70’s and it hasn’t changed. It’s beautiful anytime of the year and a rainy day is no exception. Thank you Peter for my Monday morning Vermont fix.

Another beautiful example of the power of an abstract painting style to convey the illusion of detail while reducing a complex scene down to its bare essentials!

It makes me feel like I’m walking down this street with my open umbrella when I look at this painting. One of the shops on the right must surely make a good cup of steaming coffee or tea. Every day, rain or shine, is a gift. Congratulations on being featured in the Vermont Magazine! Sharon
