Dorset Inn Summer

Auction Closed. Sold via Buy Now $800. Next auction Monday, July 29.

One reason I make art is to challenge myself.

I painted the Dorset Inn as a winter scene several years ago.

My personal challenge this week was to try a summer version that I liked just as well.

“Each new painting presents a new challenge. Each new challenge is a goad to growth.” West Fraser

Size: 12X16 (auctioned unframed)

Thanks Sandra, I may run out of time, but never subjects, or enthusiasm.

Hi Peter, I’m sure, next year I’ll take a flight to stay at this inn for my holidays. And of course you sold the painting today. Happy summer and greetings from Duisburg.

I love all the colors but what I love most is the cyclist. You probably remembered my request for a cyclist back about 15 years ago. Thanks even if you didn’t remember. I still get a thrill every time I receive “A Day In Vermont”. Thanks for all you do to inspire all of us!

I sure do remember Randy, thanks! I have one recent photo of some kids on bikes that I want to paint. Should be a good one when I get to it.

I’ve been waiting for you to do a summer painting of the Dorset Inn since my son got married there 2 years ago. Do you make duplicates or prints?

My favorite paintings are those that make feel like I’m there in person. The Inn is beautiful. The sun is warm. It’s a perfect day for a leisurely bike ride… and I am there!

My favorite paintings are those that make me feel like I’m a part of the scene itself. The Inn is beautiful, the sun is bright and pleasantly warm, the day is perfect for a bike ride … and I am there!
