Mettowee Valley View

Auction Closed. Sold via Buy Now $800. Next Auction Monday, January 13.

One of my favorite drives is along Route 30 from Pawlet to Manchester.

There’s always a new painting opportunity along the way if I’m observant. At this point of my art life, that’s most of the time.

Size: 10X20 (auctioned unframed)
Medium: Oil on linen panel

Order Print

Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe but we are coming up on the seven year anniversary of A Day in Vermont.

It’s also been that long since I updated my website in any significant way.

For my 2020 resolution I plan to do just that.

A lot of it will be general housekeeping, but we have an opportunity to improve.

Perhaps you’ve had an opportunity to use my website… peruse the collection of prints, place an order, participate in an auction, watch the videos, or just wander around.

I want you to have the best possible experience when you visit my website.

If you have any suggestions, ideas, or thoughts on what we could add, subtract, or improve, I would love to hear them.

Please send any input you may have directly to me at peter@peterhuntoon.com, or click contact HERE.

Thank you and all the best for 2020!

Peter

When people offer me their ideas about stories I should write I smile and thank them. Little do they know that that the creativity is not the huge picture, but can be as simple as a conversation overheard in the grocery lines that tweaks my mind and becomes the base of a good story. Driving along Rt 30 you probably took mental snapshots of 50 worthy scenes to paint. This is the one that captured you and I am grateful.

This painting is so atmospheric. I love the “feel” of it and its abstraction. The soft value changes are lovely.

And the best for you also! Intrigued by the angles;the flat foreground; the buildings, hills and mountain. Cynthia

There is something about this painting that speaks directly to my inner spirit. Nothing I might write could add a thing .

Peter, your work always WOWs me. I am so drawn in by this painting. It feels very personal as if I were present and familiar with the location. You’ve outdone yourself!
