Stowe Village

Auction Closed. Sold via Buy Now $800. Next Auction Monday March 4.

So I was visiting new friends at theĀ Northwood Gallery in Stowe.

When I inquired about a possible place to paint in town, Antonia suggested this view.

And right on queue as I arrived, the heavy winter clouds broke open to light up the stage.

“A lot of what making art is, is just being open, and empty. And putting yourself in the right place for things to, literally, come together.” Bill Viola

Please Note: This auction is scheduled to run two weeks until Monday, March 4.

Size: 12X16 (auctioned unframed)

A beautiful painting. I have begun working in gouache again after many years. Enjoy seeing you paint in watermedia. We enjoyed that area in the fall of 2017.

It’s so silly of all the time I lived and visited Vermont I have never been to Stowe. Look what I’m missing. Another beautiful awakening, thank you Peter.

A beautiful rendition of one of the prettiest villages in Vermont, in my opinion, at least. Whether in oil or watercolor, your paintings never fail to enliven the spirit.
