Two of a Kind Jul 20, 2020

My wife doesn’t mind when I steal her kitchen table adornments.

This time I got two for the price of one.

The term “Gesture” in art refers to action and movement.

The idea is to emphasize what the model is doing, rather than what it looks like.

To this artist, flowers gathered together in a vase always seem to be having fun.

Individual personalities meet, mingle, and dance.

A happy din of conversation, music and laughter fills the air.

My kind of party.

What a beautiful happy summer day bouquet. Reminds me of when I was a little girl picking wild flowers, especially the black eyed susans make me think of the fields in Vermont!

Glad Mother Natujre didn’t get the 6′ distance regulation. You’re right, these wild flowers are having a family reunion rejoicing in being alive. Thanks Mr. Peter for the refreshing eye candy.

Good Morning Peter. Your words this morning were especially poignant as my wife who passed away in Jan loved painting flowers from her garden by the lake in Vermont. We lived there at the time and it was a very special time in our lives. As I look at them now I can hear the conversation, music and laughter and her kind of poetry fills my heart. Thankyou. Bill Palmer

My favorite kind of flower arrangement – a mixture of wild flowers or flowers from the garden in assorted colors. “Two of a Kind” makes me think of a mother & young daughter gathering flowers together and creating not only lovely arrangements but lovely memories as well. Thumbs up to your wife & her creation that led to your inspiration and this charming painting.

A floral fugue of field flowers ..a visual/cocheal symbiotic symphony .. emanating from your maestro’s baton/brush…strumming the eternal chords for our delight. I await your next masterpiece with great anticipation…but surpassing this one? My prayers are with you. ❤️
