Congratulations to A Day in Vermont subscriber Bonnie Kelly of Rutland, Vermont. Bonnie is May’s winner of a free limited edition print. Bonnie chose “Leffert’s Pond” to add to her art collection.

Thanks for being part of A Day in Vermont Bonnie!

Vermont, its changing seasonal landscape, its wonderful light and shadows, its varied colors, is an artist’s dream. But most of all, Vermont is its wonderful people.

Will there be an ” A Day in Vermont” book published at the end of this amazing project? Your works are great capturing life in VT and a published collection would be welcome!

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Thanks for the comment and great idea Marty! I think “A Day (or Year) in Vermont” book could be an interesting possibility.

    • Rosemary Moser says:

Oh, yes, I love this idea! And I LOVE that you painted the home of the Rutland Winter Farmer’s Market! I am a regular! I have to admit that I think the painting–or at least a print of it–should hang in the building.

  • Tracy Weatherhogg says:

I would buy that book! Love this project Peter and love the Vermont Farmer’s Food Project painting and the sense of community that it has created in Rutland! What a great way to start a Monday morning! Thanks!

  • Karen Deets says:

What a great cause, Peter! We are blessed to have our farmers and they deserve our support! They are an amazing group of determined hard working entrepreneurs!

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Thank you Karen, the market will be in Depot Park for the summer months starting this Sat.

  • Brian Dugan says:

A great inspirational work. We have a big push in our community to “think local.” It’s nice to see support of that movement.

  • Olivia Stewart says:

Love this painting and the obvious signs of Spring! What a great idea to publish a year in ‘A Day in Vermont’!

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Thanks Olivia, Spring probably comes a few days later way up north where you are. 🙂

  • Patty Kenyon says:

Here, Here! To the idea of a book, to the tribute to our farmers and the Vermont Farmer’s Food Center, and to the hope that the original painting or a print of it hangs in the food center for posterity. The book would be amazing… I really love that idea.

And one more sentiment that I’ve been itching to put out there… Thank you, Peter, for sharing this awesome journey with all of us. For me, it’s such a welcomed break from the every day routine, to take a couple of minutes to stop, and look at what you’ve just created, and to get a glimpse of the process. Each time a Day in Vermont shows up in my spam folder – not sure why it keeps doing that – I dig it out and send it to my mailbox and then sit back and enjoy. Thank you!! Can’t wait to see what’s next on the agenda.

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Thank you for the wonderful comment Patty. A shared experience is a beautiful thing!

I’m sorry you are having issues with the spam folder. A few people have reported that. When you open the Day in Vermont email please try to “add sender to address book.” (or similar approval method per your specific mail system.) I will continue to research on my end to see if I can help eliminate the issue.

  • Nancy Edmunds says:

I second the “Day in VT” book idea or third it. It’s already on my wish list. I have so many favorites. To have them all in one place for my coffee table would be so great! A modern day Norman Rockwell for sure.

    • Peter Huntoon says:

Well it looks like I’ll have to get serious about the book possibility. Thank you for your support and encouragement!

      • Marty says:

Sounds like Vermont has spoken! A book of this grand tour of our beautiful state will be a prized possession! Plus, as much as I love the painting we bought and the others we see, two kids in college keeps us from bidding on a regular basis. Buying a book would be a no brainer

      • Nancy Edmunds says:

As if you don’t have enough to do…
