Wells Village School Jul 4, 2013

If I had to describe the Wells Village School in one word, it would be…Adorable.

We have Mareva’s four grandchildren with us right now for a little summer fun in Vermont.

Their fresh and happy artwork inspired me to create this piece with a similar “elementary” approach.

And the winner is…

Each month one Day in Vermont subscriber is chosen at random to win a free print. The winner for July is Amy Dombro of New York, New York. Amy chose “Apple Blossoms”, and had this to say about Vermont…

“To me, Vermont means family – time to sit together on the screened-in porch and enjoy seeing hummingbirds, mountains, chipmunks, goldfinches, the full moon, the sound of wind chimes and the scent of lilacs.”

Congratulations Amy, and all the best from Vermont!

This is wonderful. When I first moved back to Vermont, this was the school I enrolled my children in. Beside being very comfortable on the outside it was like stepping into a dear family member’s home. Anyone who has ever entered those doors have always felt welcome. The Wells School is like “putting on your favorite old shoes”. Thanks for your beautiful work. Happy Fourth… May Freedom Ring.

Thank you Nancy, I agree with you. I’ve done a couple of painting demonstrations at the school and it has a really good vibe.
