Wintry Mix Dec 30, 2019

They say timing is everything.

Well there couldn’t be a better day to post this painting.

The forecast says freezing rain, sleet, snow, and wind.

A little weather didn’t stop this hearty pair from their appointed rounds in Sharon recently.

Just another day in Vermont.

And the Winners Are…

As you may know, each month I draw two random A Day in Vermont subscribers to win a free print of their choice.

It’s one way I get to say thanks for your tremendous support.

Congratulations to our last two winners of 2019!

Our first winner is Beth Ann Rossi of Roanoke, VA. Beth Ann chose “Barnard Vermont” and had this to say…

“As a retired Language Arts teacher from Woodstock Elementary in Woodstock, VT in the ’70s, I loved my days teaching and living in Barnard. I’ve written a book, not yet published, about a young man from Barnard trying to find himself. I’ve asked Peter about using his painting of the Barnard General as a cover possibility. He said he’d be agreeable. Needless to say, I think the world of the paintings he graciously shares with us each Monday. What a delightful gift, thank you so very much Mr. Talented Peter.”

Our second winner is Pat Branciforte of Cromwell, CT. Pat chose “Okemo” and had this to say…

“Thank you for my wonderful Christmas gift of winning one of your beautiful paintings. I chose the picture of Okemo Mountain because I met my husband in a ski club where most of us skied at Okemo. Most of our courtship was in that area and we continued skiing at Okemo after we were married, so it has many fond memories! I look forward every Monday to receiving the email with your painting of the week. We have visited so many of the towns you paint that it’s always a trip down Memory Lane.”
