Autumn Light Nov 5, 2018

There’s a certain quality to the late-day light during Autumn. It’s especially apparent and pleasing when a cool grey sky contrasts against the warm brilliant colors of fall foliage.

And the winners Are…

Each month I draw two random A Day in Vermont subscribers to win a free print of their choice.

It’s a fun way to say thank you for your amazing support.

Our first winner for October is Nancy Makowski of Phillipsburg, NJ. Nancy chose “Jersey Girls“, and had this to say…

“I am so pleased to be chosen a “Day in Vermont” winner. This Jersey Girl has selected “Jersey Girls,”  for what to me is the obvious reason. And, while I am a Jersey Girl, my ‘other home’ for the last 25 years is in Addison County, VT…..cows, corn and round bales, AND good friends. The peace and beauty of Vermont are what draw me back often. To Peter, I must tell you how much I enjoy finding your ‘Vermont in a Day’ segments on the television during my visits. I am always amazed at what you can do with that blank canvas. Looking through the gallery on your website is a great way to take an armchair tour of the state, adding to my list of new places to visit and revisiting so many of the towns from my travels over the years.”

Our second winner is Laura LaMontagne of White River Junction, Vermont. Laura chose “Vermont Sunset“, and had this to say…

“Vermont is a beautiful gem – and the four seasons are simply amazing. People are accepting and friendly. The apples and maple syrup are bonuses!  I truly feel like I am living in a calendar! I simply love your work, Peter, as you truly represent Vermont. I look at your work and I feel like I am standing right there. Just amazing.”
