Lake St. Catherine May 27, 2013

Standing on the West Lake Road bridge that separates the Little Lake from the big one, we get a nice northerly view of Lake St. Catherine.

This is one beautiful body of water. Like many others who enjoy all it has to offer, I have many happy memories “on the lake.”

Bernie Huntoon will be 88 soon. My dad is a wise, kind and gentle man of few words. Yesterday we were discussing time and the general lack of it. (I was grumbling) A passage from a Rudyard Kipling poem (If) was his response…

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

And – which is more – you’ll be a Man my son!

Happy Memorial Day to you too Peter. Memorial weekend was always our first drive of the season up to Vermont, very special memories. Thanks again for sharing all your works.

Beautiful, Peter!… and good for you getting this picture done and ready for Monday’s “A Day in Vermont” with such a busy time of “Open Studio” over the weekend! It was great for our whole family to come and visit you for that event. Thanks for sharing your time and expertise with us. We will be in touch! from Barby, for the whole gang.

I just hung up my Poultney and Dorset Quarry pictures after having painted the walls. I was telling my family how much I’d like to have a print of Lake St. Catherine, which holds so many good memories for us. When I sat down to check my email, I was so excited to see this new print! I love it! I ordered one for me and one for each of my sisters. Thank you so much!

I love to hear stories like this. It reminds me how everything and everyone is connected. There are wonderful and mysterious forces at work, it seems to me. I am proud to be hanging on your freshly painted walls. Thanks so much for the order!
