Today's Painting

Boy of Summer

Once in a while my camera captures an action shot that simply must be painted.

Like this old dog happily leading a pack of young boys down a dirt road.

To me, that’s poetry in motion.

“A boy is Truth with dirt on its face,
Beauty with a cut on its finger,
Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair,
and the Hope of the future with a frog in its pocket.”

What Others Are Saying

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your work. I grew up in Rutland and it’s so nice to see familiar places look so special. On a recent visit back, I found your prints of Sunday Bandstand, City Lights and Fall On Center. I also ordered (and received) the Brandon Inn from your website. They look great and it is wonderful to have a real piece of Vermont in my current home.

The Boat Launch

It’s an exhilarating experience that’s hard to describe. The moment you push off from the stable shoreline and glide out on to the freedom of open water. Always a bit tipsy at first, you quickly adapt to a new mode … Continued
