There’s a certain quality to the late-day light during Autumn. It’s especially apparent and pleasing when a cool grey sky contrasts against the warm brilliant colors of fall foliage.
When it comes to art, rules are made to be broken. Thank you for letting me break three this week.
- A Day in Vermont paintings are usually 12X16. This one is larger. (18X24)
- The location isn’t in Vermont…it’s just over the border in Hampton, N.Y.
- This auction is scheduled to run two weeks instead of one, while I continue working on Christmas commissions.
Medium: Oil on panel
What Others Are Saying
I wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoy your work. My sister and her husband gave me and my mother two different watercolor prints for Christmas. I was very surprised and I know right away that I was looking at downtown Rutland. My mother’s print is the other view of downtown with the Opera House in it. This print is very very sentimental to me. It actually brought a tear to my eye. You see, your painting also has the mountain in the background. The mountain my grandparents lived on for so long. I intend to purchase another one of your prints for my home and just have to decide which one. Your work brings back so many good memories. Thank you for that.
