Today's Painting

Howe Center

The Howe Center in Rutland is a vibrant community asset with a hard-working history.

This view from the River Street Bridge recently caught my eye and wouldn’t let go.

“The secret, if there is one, is to be so completely interested in studying the model that the paint just follows. Forget that you are drawing or painting and feel that you are using the medium to reach out and touch the model.” Kimon Nicolaides, from The Natural Way to Draw.

Size: 10X20 (auctioned unframed)

What Others Are Saying

I wanted to thank you again for shipping that order to me so quickly, it was a wedding present for my friends. They met at Green Mountain College and finally got married and moved to NYC, so I thought it would be so fitting to get them a painting to remind them of Vt. She called me the other day to tell me how thoughtful and beautiful the painting was. Thanks again.
