There’s a certain quality to the late-day light during Autumn. It’s especially apparent and pleasing when a cool grey sky contrasts against the warm brilliant colors of fall foliage.
When it comes to art, rules are made to be broken. Thank you for letting me break three this week.
- A Day in Vermont paintings are usually 12X16. This one is larger. (18X24)
- The location isn’t in Vermont…it’s just over the border in Hampton, N.Y.
- This auction is scheduled to run two weeks instead of one, while I continue working on Christmas commissions.
Medium: Oil on panel
What Others Are Saying
I have visited your website so many times and am always overwhelmed with the brilliant colors in your paintings! I got a late start painting watercolor (age 64) and find ordinary watercolors so boring. I would love to imitate (the best form of flattery they say) your method of painting. I could ask so many questions, but will contain myself. – Thanks
