August Arrangement Aug 27, 2018

Like summertime in Vermont, last week went by too fast.

And there I was yesterday morning with nothing to post for today.

My wife suggested I paint her hydrangeas.

So I borrowed her table arrangement for the day.

That’s our happy arrangement.

She suggests, I do.

And the Winners Are…

Each month I draw two random Day in Vermont subscribers to win a free print of thier choice.

It’s one small way I can say thanks for your tremendous support.

Our first winner for August is Suzanne Farrell of Chester, Vermont. Suzanne chose “Lily Pond”, and had this to say…

“Vermont is my home. It’s where I live, work and play. Whether driving along the back roads, barreling up and down the highway, swimming in its lakes, hiking through its woods or strolling through its villages, Vermont’s natural world surrounds me everywhere I go. It soothes my mind and fills my heart with warmth and light. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Opening an email from “A Day in Vermont” is like a retreat. On a busy Monday morning I can take a moment to get lost on a winding country road, in the stillness of the woods or in the warmth of a sunset. Peter Huntoon’s artwork celebrates Vermont’s beauty and captures its tranquil moments while bringing a sense of peace to all who view it.”

Our second winner is Mary Grennan of Massapequa, New York. Mary chose “East Poultney Nor’easter” and had this to say…

“Although we love our Long Island home near ocean beaches, it’s always good to get away. Vermont is our respite and oasis, our “go to place” for a change of routine. Throughout the busy year, the Green Mountains call our name, beckoning us to come ski, hike, relax, and enjoy the beauty and solitude of nature. Thank you, Peter for all your stunning paintings. We already own and enjoy three of them!”
