Bomoseen Channel Jul 28, 2025

Last week I was set up underneath the Route 4 overpass on Creek Road, along the west shore of Lake Bomoseen. The spontaneous choice was rewarded with a gorgeous summer view stretching up the channel and out to the lake. The boats docked at Woodard Marine were dancing like colorful jewels under the July sky. Conditions were nearly ideal, but when painting “en plein air,” there’s always something to contend with. That’s half the fun, though! A strong lake breeze was blowing, accompanied by occasional gusts. I darn near lost my shelter top. That’s expendable. The painting was never in jeopardy.

Original Sold. Next Day in Vermont Monday, Aug 11.

The painting is refreshing. I suspect it was, as you said , a perfect Vermont Day, with reasonable temperatures.

  • That’s lovely Peter! Especially since we are around the corner. I look at and admire my
painting you did for us every single day! We brought the smaller one to Florida to remind
us of Vermont. Hope you are well! You’re welcome to stop at camp anytime you are in the
    area!

Interested in purchasing note cards with the lake bomoseen channel. Please send info. We spent a lot of time, over 20+ years on n off, at my in-laws house across from Woodards marina.
