City Light is a painting that depicts one of several entrances into downtown Rutland Vermont. As many times as I had looked at that scene, I did not see it with painters eyes until one December day when the light was just right. The warm winter glow from the sky created a quality of light that I tried to capture. The new lamp posts decorated for the season also provide a variation of light. It is always inspiring to discover incredible beauty in the everyday!
