Goshen Vermont Oct 27, 2025
Today’s painting depicts the beautiful little town of Goshen, the wild blueberry capital of Vermont. I’ve considered the subject over the years and finally found the composition I was waiting for. More accurately, it was waiting for me.
As October comes to a close, I can set my brushes down for a moment and assess. The weather has been very cooperative for painting outside “en plein air”. As for the autumn color this year, to me it’s always good. I count about a dozen new “in-process” paintings scattered around my studio that were started on location this month. I look forward to sharing some of the best ones with you as they get finished in the studio.
Original Sold. Next Day in Vermont Monday, November 10.

I love Autumn and the splash of colors…and your art.
Thanks Rob!
Peter;
I love that you show us the subject area in a real photo so we can see exactly what you see as you are painting. Your fall colors sparkle in contrast to the white of the buildings. I am so pleased to be on you “mailing” list. Thank you.
Thanks Karen!
beautiful fall colors contrast with the house. you seem far away from the subject. Did you start out closer?
Thanks Lenor, I think the wide angle iphone shot makes it look further away than I was.
Beautiful !!! Right when I saw the Goshen Town Report I thought “who did that? I wonder if there are prints or greeting cards” and then as I scrolled!!! Yup!
