Winter is back! I’m sure we all have our way of noting the passage of time. My work (mostly) follows the seasons because I love fresh inspiration. In Vermont every day brings a new painting possibility.

I started “Stratton Village” on location last April. There was still some snow on the mountain, and it was warm enough to paint outside. It was a magical morning of work and I came away with a solid start. May arrived and I put this aside, moving on to spring motifs.

I’ve been waiting for the snow to return to finish. So it has, and so I did.
