Tractor Pull Aug 11, 2025

Last Saturday was a great day. The annual Wells Tractor Pull is a friendly competition that celebrates the enduring spirit of rural communities and the love for powerful machinery. The operators aboard their prized steel steeds all line up to take their turn, hitching onto the heavy sled. Once those big tires start churning, the competition begins. If they start to spin in the dirt, game over. This is more than a contest of strength; it’s a display of skill and technique. As more logs are loaded onto the sled a victor will emerge. But in this sport, everyone wins. It’s about the shared passion, camaraderie, and the thrill of witnessing these hard working machines in action. This painting captures the spirit of the event. Here, my friend Gibb Mach from Pawlet powers his classic 1937 WK40 Farmall across the finish line.
