Autumn’s Embrace Sep 18, 2023
This painting “materialized” from a recent visit to Windswept Farm in Tinmouth. Thank you Barry Cohen! I started with a relatively neutral color block-in, focusing on the big land mass and sky shapes, along with an atmospheric aerial perspective into the distance. It was only then it took a dramatic turn toward rich fall colors. When a painting really wants to go somewhere, I generally follow.

Love it Peter. Magical land called Tinmouth.
This is so beautiful – my husband and I are coming to Vermont next month – I will see the New Englad area for the first time!
If I were a whimsical fairy I’d frolic in this pasture on Windswept Farm.
If I were a whimsical fairy I’d frolic in this pasture at Windswept Farm for EVAH!
I don’t have the words to describe how I feel about this beautiful painting. So thankful to be a subscriber and see this on a Monday morning!
Atmospheric is just the right word! This one’s a winner!
Stunning, magical! Thank-you for sharing.
Beautiful
I can actually smell the autumn in the air Peter.Beautiful monday morning. We cant make it this year so “ thanks for the memories“.
Interesting technique, Peter
What an appropriate title…both sides of summer:s remnant greenness field…embraced by the flaming color of Fall’s arms. Zowee! I want to lie down in the middle of that geen field…and die there…as I take the next step in a very fortunate, lucky, joyful, amazing life. The transition portal could not be more perfect.
You, Peter, are the gatekeeper.
Thank you all for the wonderful comments and support!
Gorgeous
Have come to eagerly await Monday mornings and the pleasant surprises you have in store for us! There’s never a disappointment; rather an awakening to a new pasture, farm, water feature or mountain that you’ve captured on canvass.
So picturesque capturing the beauty of the changing season(s) and its lovely autumn colors! Love this piece Peter!
