Townshend Vermont Jun 3, 2013

Chartered in 1753, Townshend is home to about 1200 fortunate full time residents.

The classic New England green along Route 30 comes alive with community events throughout the year.

Even on a relatively quiet day a visitor (or artist) can find plenty of subjects to appreciate and enjoy.

And the winner is…

Each month a Day in Vermont subscriber is randomly selected to win a free print. Congratulations to June winner Chris Condon of Chittenden, VT. Chris chose Peak Conditions. Here is what Chris had to say about Vermont…

What does Vermont mean to me…the short answer is everything. I proposed to and married the love of my life in Vermont. I met and fell in love with my wife’s family in Vermont. I put skis on for the first time in Vermont. Growing up my family’s weekends and vacations were spent in Vermont. There’s something about Vermont that’s truly inexplicable. The people, the wildlife, the mountains, rivers and streams…the snow, the leaves, the gardens and the farms. The connections we form with them and relationships we build encompass what it means to be a Vermonter. Vermont is one of the most beautiful places on earth and I’m one of the fortunate few that get to call her my Home.
